"The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies; neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth:
for they shall feed and lie down, and none shall make them afraid." -Zephaniah 3:13

The Gideon band will not fear mankind because their obedience bolsters their faith.

This page is a basic outline to help the obedient Seventh Day Remnant child of God walk in the truth that is found in the Word of God and Spirit of Prophecy. This outline dictates the proper spiritual posture of those seeking to glorify the Lord in their Christian walk as well as their walk of leadership in the Seventh Day Remnant church of Jesus Christ the eternal and ever living King of all Creation.

- The Example from His Word towards the perfection we strive unto -

1 Peter 2:21, “Hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps.”

Here are some things to consider before taking a position in the Church of God that in so doing requires us to lead the flock by example. As we see in His Word, some things should be embraced and some overcome so as to help others do the same. If we have not overcome the things we wrestlle in, how do we expect to lead others in the church to follow our lead? For clarification, this does not mean that you can't be in the community preaching the three angel's message and sharing one's faith in the Lord. For this is the calling of every baptized believers. And when the new soul comes into the church due to our effrots, we need to lead them to even more light in overcoming many other areas of life by our example that Jesus Christ our King left for us to follow. This will not be done overnight of course. It is a life long trek of one step at a time towards the perfection we strive unto. We, as the remnant people of God are all called to do a great work for the Lord. None of us are perfect, and we all grow at our own pace. There are many heavenly principles that should take root in our life that is a must in leading the flock properly. We must be that example unto the flock so they to may learn to overcome. They must see in us that all things truly are possible through Christ who gives us the power to do His will. After all, it is written in Philippians 2:13, "For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure."

If in obedience we learn to perfectly submit ourselves to Him, we may be called to be in that number that does His will like no other in the history of makind. If these souls in the church do not see those who are teaching and working for the church as overcoming in major as well as the simple areas, then they will be tempted to follow our lead into apostasy as we have seen all the churches of the world doing as we speak. So let us grow in this understanding that helps to bring souls into the presence of the Lord for all eternity..

Health message:
1 Corinthians 3:17, “If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.”

“The health reform, I was shown, is a part of the third angel's message, and is just as closely connected with it as are the arm and hand with the human body. I saw that we as a people must make an advance move in this great work. Ministers and people must act in concert. God's people are not prepared for the loud cry of the third angel. They have a work to do for themselves which they should not leave for God to do for them. He has left this work for them to do. It is an individual work; one cannot do it for another. ‘Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.’" Counsels on Diet and Food pg. 32 par. 2

Faithful in tithes and offerings:
Malachi 3:8-10, “Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.”

Stable in doctrine:
Philippians 2:2, “Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.”

Ephesians 4:14, “That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; ”

“If the pillars of our faith will not stand the test of investigation, it is time that we knew it; for it is foolish to become set in our ideas, and think that no one should interfere with our opinions. Let everything be brought to the Bible; for it is the only rule of faith and doctrine.”  BEcho, October 15, 1892 par. 6

Governing own house:
1
Timothy 3:1-16,  “This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous; One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?) Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil. Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil. Likewise must the deacons be grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre; Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience. And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless. Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things. Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well.  For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus. These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly: But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.  And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.”

“Parents must govern their children, correct their passions, and subdue them, or God will surely destroy the children in the day of His fierce anger, and the parents who have not controlled their children will not be blameless. Especially should the servants of God govern their own families and have them in good subjection. I saw that they are not prepared to judge or decide in matters of the church, unless they can rule well their own house. They must first have order at home, and then their judgment and influence will tell in the church.”  Counsels for the Church pg.190 par.3

Worldliness:

 Appearance of evil-

1 Thessalonians 5:22, "Abstain from all appearance of evil."

This entails the following general issues. In today’s world a bevy of reasons can be added as each day brings new evils as we are all aware. As obedient Christians we must never be seen entering:

Politics:
Matthew 22:21, “They say unto him, Caesar's. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's.”

“God's children are to separate themselves from politics, from any alliance with unbelievers. Do not take part in political strife. Separate from the world, and refrain from bringing into the church or school ideas that will lead to contention and disorder. Dissension is the moral poison taken into the system by human beings who are selfish.” Counsels for the Church pg. 316 par.6
