Christian greetings in these last days of life on earth. As all are aware the last few decades have seen many upheavals in Jerusalem. The last few years have seen it escalate on and off, and the last few weeks have seen it boil over. Because of all this I have been emailed, phoned, and even asked right out concerning Israel and their obvious troubles. The bulk of the questions all stem from the belief that Israel should be protected by God because He promised to do so in His Word. In fact, some in government office believe this is why Washington D.C. uses its power to protect Israel. They “believe” Israel is the “chosen people” of God and protecting them will generate blessings to the politicians pushing this agenda. To top it all off, just three days before posting this Newsletter I read the following article in the Lafayette Journal & Courier “Letters to the Editor” section of our local Newspaper.

This reminds me of a chat I had many years ago when I first arrived in the area. A local farmer wanted to meet me Spring afternoon. I happened to be far out in an alfalfa field in mid day prayer, when to my surprise he actually drove up to me to say hi. As we drove back to the house we got to talking. The state of Israel came up somehow and his thoughts were as this woman in the article above. He also believed strongly that “physical” Israel was in the favor of God, which he was convinced guaranteed them Heaven. Then a few years later I found the Roman Catholic church started bolstering that error during one of their infamous ecumenical charges by proclaiming the following to all the world…

The “United States Conference of Catholic Bishops” late echoed these same comments on August 12, 2002. (Click here for info) The enemy of souls is working on a global scale in both mass media as well as word of mouth fashion so as to perpetrate and solidify this erroneous belief for one reason. He needs to keep the TRUE Israel of God ignorant of his stealthy infiltrations within their ranks. While they are watching “physical” Israel thinking there is something to watch on a prophetic basis, he can move in for the kill. With that said let me share the following biblical facts with you concerning WHO the Bible says the true people of God (Israel) is today.

First off, let’s look at a prophetic statement made many thousands of years ago regarding Israel itself.

• Genesis 49:10, "The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be."
• Hosea 2:23 And I will sow her unto me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art my God.

According to these two prophecies, the scepter (a shepherds rod) will not depart from Judah until Jesus (Shiloh) comes. Then Hosea confirms this when he states the people of God (ones with the scepter) will one day lose that scepter and title to a people that never knew God. This new group of faithful will then become God’s people thereby becoming beneficiaries to all His promises. To top this off, Jesus Himself declares this as an inevitable end result for the disobedient Jews…

• Matthew 21:43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.

After the probationary period spoken of by Daniel the Prophet comes to fruition, (See chart on Daniel 9:24) the Jews openly confirm their graphic hatred of God and His truth by stoning Stephan in the exact year prophecied by Daniel as the year (34A.D.) they would lose the scepter. To further confirm this event fulfilled, we see Peter in vision being told by God Himself to preach unto the newly adopted people, who at one time were considered “unclean.”

Looking into this vision we find this…

• Acts 10:11-14, "And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:  Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.  And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.  But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean."

First off, some question as to why Peter felt bold enough to question God at this time. However, looking to 1 John 4:1, one can realize that Peter was just doing as all Christians are instructed to do when a preacher, teacher, or even a spirit from God comes to us preaching new things…

• 1 John 4:1, "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world."

Eating unclean animals was something Peter already knew in the Word to be wrong. So he stood on the truth as he knew it. Peter simply misunderstood the vision, as we will see later. Like the Berean’s he was simply being cautious when he questioned the voice telling him to do as he thought would be sinful.

Yes, some to this day proclaim this passage means that after the cross it was “ok’d” by God to eat unclean foods like pork and other foods that even Science confirms as poisonous to the body. However, if you read this passage in context you find that this is not what’s happening here at all. In fact it amazes me how easy it is to prove what’s actually being said here.

First of all, notice the obvious fact that Peter is a New Testament Christian. Also notice he is stating plainly, three and a half years AFTER Christ ascended into Heaven that he still refuses to eat unclean foods. If Jesus ok’d unclean foods after the cross, then why is Peter still not eating pork and other unclean foods three and a half years later? This proves Jesus never gave the ok to eat such things before He ascended, which by the way was after the New Testament church started.

Peter simply misunderstood the vision as is clearly illustrated in the Word. Acts 10:17 even states Peter “doubted in himself what this vision which he had seen should mean.” As the Scripture intimates, he thought at first, as the people today think, that it was now ok to eat unclean food. Later however, Peter contemplates the vision and actually explains what it meant removing all doubt. His first clue of course came "While Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold, three men seek thee." (Acts 10:19) Peter then began to consider the vision even more closely when one of them men at his door said, “…Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee. " (Acts 10:22) Peter later informed them that “…God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean." (Acts 10:28) Again, this amazes me that still, to this day preachers the world over claim this vision was talking about giving permission to eat unclean animals!

Three times Peter saw that sheet come down, and three times he said “nothing UNCLEAN” ever entered his mouth. The Lord sent the vision THREE times because THREE UNCLEAN GENTILES were at his door. (See Acts 11:11) Later the Apostles found out that “unclean” Gentiles had now heard the Word of God. (See Acts 11:1) They were concerned that Peter was eating with uncircumcised men. (See Acts 11:3) So Peter reassured them by simply explaining the vision the Lord had given of the sheet that descended three times while in Joppa. Scriptures make it perfectly clear now that he understood it to mean it was the Holy Spirit informing him it’s time to speak to those that were once unclean, and now made clean. Or as Hosea put it, “I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art my God.” (Hosea 2:23)

In fundamental nature, it was then that this prophecy was fulfilled. Later we see Paul and Barnabas openly stating with their mouths before many witnesses that this is in fact the case when speaking to a few envious Jews one day that were questioning their actions…

• 
  Acts 13:46 Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.

It was also confirmed as biblical fact in both Romans and Galatians later on…

• Romans 2:28,29 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
• Romans 9:6-8 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.
• Galatians 3:29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Question: How could those in  modern day Jerusalem be considered God’s people when on one toss of the coin prophecy clearly stated, and historic fact confirms, they lost their “favored nation status” with the Father when they stepped so boldly out of His will? And on the other toss of the coin, how could our Heavenly Father be their God and protector when in fact they boldly deny His only begotten Son as Messiah so openly to all the World?

• Mark 8:38, "Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels."

All I see happening in Jerusalem today is yet another attempt of Satan to hinder the work as he tried with Sanballat when Nehemiah was called to rebuild the wall as well as the house of God. Sanballat sought to stop the work by doing all he could to distract Nehemiah from his God given duty. Satan loves to use distractions like this to keep the TRUE Israel occupied looking in one area when in fact they are being overwhelmed or infiltrated in another area. Sadly, many Christians fall for it and choose to concentrate where Satan points. All that we see happening around the world is nothing more then “..wars and rumors of wars” as our precious Saviour said in Matthew 24:6. We have a work to do, and watching modern day Jerusalem will only cause us to shirk our duties. While the real Israel is being penetrated and manipulated by Satan on multiple fronts, the remnant is ignoring all that is happening close within their ranks.

In other words.. Christians are watching the WRONG Israel!!!

By the way, this is not the only method Satan has been using to try and sidetrack the people into “watching Israel” in the Middle East instead of the true Israel of God. Some believe a “third temple” is to be rebuilt, so they focus all their energy there instead. This may very well happen, as I have researched this out years ago and found they already have plans as well as 3D walk through in software of what this third temple will look like, all the way down to the modern day ark of the covenant. Seriously, common sense prevails here when we look at this bogus prophecy of Satan designed to distract. Sure it may come to be, but is it needed? Did not Jesus “The Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world” (John 1:29) already die as a sacrifice for our sin? Did He not already proclaim upon that cross that “it is finished” in John 19:30? To proclaim the third temple is a true event that is needed for the Christian church, then Jesus must not be the true Lamb sacrifice. They plan to start the sacrifices up again as has been publicized far and wide. Did our Lord lie when He stated it was finished? Of course not! For it is the father of lies that perpetrates such idiocy!

We need to stop looking where Satan is POINTING! We need to start looking where our Lord Jesus points instead. With that said, what does prophecy say the true Israel is up to today?

Speaking of Jesus…

·         Matthew 3:12 says, "Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire."

Right before Jesus returns He will gather His people just as the farmer gathers his wheat into his barn. However, before gathering the wheat, the chaff, dust, and other contaminations must be removed. In order to do this “a shaking” of the wheat must be done so as to allow a perfect separation. In the olden times it was common for the wheat from the field to be placed in a large basket with many holes in the bottom that were too small for the wheat kernels to fall through. Shaking the basket and tossing the wheat into the air allowed for the cleansing process to be done. The small bits and pieces would fall through the holes in the basket, and the dust (chaff) would be carried off by the wind. If no wind was present, a “fan” was used. Eventually only the wheat would end up in the basket. The Lord is performing “the shaking” as we speak in many of the churches across the globe.

·         Isaiah 41:15-16, "Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shalt make the hills as chaff. Thou shalt fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them: and thou shalt rejoice in the LORD, and shalt glory in the Holy One of Israel."

By the way, this is NOT to be confused with the counterfeit shaking of Satan. The shaking of the Lord is designed to rid the true church of those that claim Christ Lord, but when truth is proclaimed, or trials arrive, they cannot stand firm as do the elect. They will be shaken out of the church. This has always been Satan’s plan…

·         Luke 22:31-32, "And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:  But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren."

As our Lord prays we see that His elect can never be affected adversely. The elect cannot be deceived, and as we also know the Lord has promised to be by our side all the way till the end.

·         Mark 13:22, "For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect."

·         Matthew 28:20, "…, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

Through all the prophecied trials and tribulations already beginning on this troubled earth, we are to clearly understand He is Lord! Even during His mighty shaking of the church, not one soul that loves their Lord will find themselves alone and standing outside His church.

·         Amos 9:9, "For, lo, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations, like as corn is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth."

Sadly, some will indeed be shaken out for they have become so lukewarm that they’re spewed out as useless to the Lord and not worthy for Heaven. (See Revelation 3:14-16) This is why this soul seeks to get as close to the Lord as is possible. James 4:8 is so clear and filled with such powerful and simple truths that it amazes me how so many that claim Christ Lord never seek to do as it directs.

·         James 4:8, "Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded."

So many blessings are right there for the taking if we all just gather to His side! Without a faith that draws you close to the Lord you cannot expect this Lord to want to draw close to you. If He is far from you, how can one stand in such a shaking as this?

Yes, many are dying in Jerusalem as well as other countries. However, even more are right now breathing their last in a more eternal frontline. If we lose this battle because we are focusing on the mortal instead of the eternal, we will lose it all!

Trials and tribulations are not all that causes the soul to drift away from His Lord. Satan can generate his “sifting” by simply tempting the soul to look upon his or her “riches” to such an extent that their Lord is no longer in the picture. They fail to “buy” from Christ gold refined in the fire that makes them truly rich. (See Revelation 3:17,18) Their self satisfaction outweighs their first Love so much so that He is no longer part of their life. All that is before the eyes becomes paramount to them now.

Yes, some of the calamities we see are prophetic and indeed a sign of the times. Strangely enough the enemy of souls can even flip that coin to cause some to minimize such events and disregard the necessity to prepare their houses. We are being attacked on every front, but most of us are completely oblivious to this. We are too interested in what’s happening in the news. So much so, that we concentrate our efforts talking of the wars and spreading the rumors of the wars. We need to get ready and help others get ready as well. ALL of this is a distraction! Prophecy WILL and DOES come to fulfillment. Satan is betting that we will miss what he’s up to by thinking all is well and we are safe “for now.”

·         Amos 9:10, "All the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, which say, The evil shall not overtake nor prevent us."

·         1 Thessalonians 5:3, "For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape."

As prophecied, it’s about to get very intense, and those that aren’t committed students of His Word so as to draw nigh and be better prepared, this day WILL come as a thief in the night. Only those that study, and believe His promises will be able to avoid such trials, including the hour of temptation. Praise the Lord that many of you "…brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief." (1 Thessalonians 5:4)

Sadly, also associated with this prophecied shaking is the work of the unstable brethren that have that spirit of fear Christ never gave them to such an extent that they come against those of us who do choose to stand firm courageously. As Jesus prophecied, many will indeed deliver some of us unto great trials…

·         Matthew 24:9-10, "Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.  And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another."

Some of you reading this have already seen this come to light in your lifetime. Sad to say, many of us have first hand experience in the fulfillment of this prophecy. Still, we tread on knowing our Lord is always by our side.

Another way we find many shaken from the truth is how every wind of doctrine has found many itching ears deep within the church so as to further the advances of the enemy. This, our Lord allows so as to shake free those that refuse to take Him at His Word.

·         Jeremiah 13:24-25, "Therefore will I scatter them as the stubble that passeth away by the wind of the wilderness. This is thy lot, the portion of thy measures from me, saith the LORD; because thou hast forgotten me, and trusted in falsehood."

·         Jude 1:11-12, "Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain… clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;"

·         Hosea 13:3, "Therefore they shall be as the morning cloud, and as the early dew that passeth away, as the chaff that is driven with the whirlwind out of the floor, and as the smoke out of the chimney."

·         Ephesians 4:14, "That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;"

For those of you that are having a hard time seeing this happen in your own circle of friends. Let me ask you if any of the following heresies have caused some close to you to leave the church you attend? Instead of Present Truth, they now concentrate on preaching the following “new truths,” and claim if not adhered to will result in damnation.

• Some claim the Holy Spirit does not exist as a person. Click here for more info
• Some preach you must stay in a church you know is in apostasy. Click here for more info

All these strange doctrines are designed to prevent the child of God from preaching present Truth. It gets them excited by thinking they have found something new, and are called by God Himself to proclaim it, when in fact they are only being used to stop the forward movement of present Truth. Truth is, there is nothing new in any of these proven heresies. All were used by Satan in the past, and seeing how they were effective to a point, he uses them again today.

With some it is a great delusion upon them that shocks those close to them as to how blind they have become. No matter how much we try to share bible truths with them, we see them completely unable to understand. It truly causes some of us to be astonished because we see the truth for what it truly is. We are truly shocked at how suddenly brethren who once walked with us have now chosen to walk with us no more, and all of it comes about in a manner that is easily exposed in Scripture. They can no longer see what we see because they have given Satan free reign and placed Truth in the waste pile. Pray for them! They must listen to that which is shared and validate it as did the Berean before it’s too late.

·         Hebrews 12:25-26, "See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:  Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven."

Christianity 101 tells us that "…faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." (Romans 10:17) But because of the prophecied “...famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:" (Amos 8:11), most are unable to grasp basic truths. Unless the Bible is a daily staple in our spiritual diet, we will have no strength to fight the enemy.

What did Jesus use when Satan attacked Him after those 40 days? He used the WORD! Jesus used the Word as a Two Edged Sword and slashed through every twisted Scripture like a hot knife through warm butter! Without this weapon we stand with only the FLESH before the ultimate enemy of mankind. Rest assured, he will use every weapon in his arsenal to hack away at the powerless flesh with childlike ease. Think about that for a moment. If you stand alone it’s truly you against all that Satan can muster. All you can use to fight him with is your puny flesh! I don’t care if you’re a body building steroid pumping Goliath, your best effort can in no way defeat his smallest ploy! The flesh is truly that weak. That is why we NEED Jesus so much.

Those that draw nigh, those that study His Word, and those that take Him at His Word will never be ashamed. He has you in the palm of His hand! In that place you cannot be shaken from His love! Watching literal Jerusalem and fearing that which is coming on the world is not what He would have us do! Yes, we should keep “current” in that which is happening. But we should never look away from His truth that speaks to the heart to embrace that which Satan preaches to the eyes. We have wonderful blessings in our future. All the death and destruction running rampant can never change that.

Our small numbers may give the impression the church will fail. But the Lord promises great blessings to those standing firm in His truth. He only used 12 men to start this church did He not? He also promises to help this little remnant during this time of trouble. Especially during the hour of temptation…

·         Revelation 3:10, "Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth."

The world has no experience with this God we love and that is why when trials come they are “shaken” from His church. Yes, I know some claim the church is here, or the church is there, and it is not with us. Nevertheless, when you see the proven apostasy in their church, the hatred in their eyes, the evil actions and hateful words, you can better appreciate the peace in drawing nigh to the Lord and His Truth. It’s such a peaceful place under His wings. The fruit is plain as day in both camps. Those shaken out only know what Satan stealthily taught them. Only the flesh and all it has to offer can move them now. This is the foothold the enemy will use to crush billions. Pray for them, for there is still some time left for them to respond.

Wars and rumors of war, riches, poverty, complacency, heresies, sickness, insufficient bible knowledge, lack of faith, persecutions, and a host of other methods used by the infamous enemy of Christ are all aimed at the true biblical Israel so as to get them off the path to do that which the Lord never sanctioned as well as speak words He never uttered.

We need to stop watching “mortal” Israel and focus on what His Word said His “eternal” Israel would be doing to both glorify His name and accelerate His arrival. We need to stop wishing we will be ready months or years from now. We need to be ready NOW!

The Lord is shaking His Israel. Hold on tight!
