Below is an actual document given to Roman Catholics to carry into the confessional as a guide to "repentance." It was forwarded to me by a friend of the ministry from the Catholic Dispatch Internet Apostolate. Notice how they have re-written the Ten Commandments so as to glorify the popes and prelates instead of the Lord Jesus Christ. My comments below are in BLUE.

 
Before going further understand this. The Ten Commandments of the Christian Bible total 295 words in length. However, the Roman Catholic ten commandments are a total of only 77 words. This is an open attempt to trust men (popes and prelates) claiming to have authority to change the Law of God, regardless of the fact that Jesus Christ Himself declared in  Matthew 5:18, "For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law..." The Catholic church has removed 218 jots and tittles from the Law of God just as Daniel stated they would in Daniel 7:25

THE CHURCH OF ROME DICTATES:

Here is an "examination of conscience" - a guide for CHILDREN to be used before receiving the Sacrament of Penance. It can be carried into Church; or the parish priest may decide to make copies and have them available for the parish children to be used when they go to Confession.

Examination of Conscience

- HOW LONG HAS IT BEEN SINCE MY LAST GOOD CONFESSION?
- DID I HIDE ANY SIN FROM THE PRIEST?
- DID I DO THE PENANCE THE PRIEST GAVE ME?

1st Commandment

- HAVE I REFUSED TO BELIEVE ANYTHING WHICH THE HOLY CATHOLIC CHURCH TEACHES?  WHAT WAS IT?
- HAVE I FAILED TO LEARN MY CATECHISM: THE APOSTLES CREED?  THE TEN COMMANDMENTS?  THE SEVEN SACRAMENTS? MY PRAYERS?
- HAVE I FAILED TO STUDY MY CATECHISM AS I SHOULD?

This commandment has been re-written in such a way that it has placed the glory of God Himself upon the Church of Rome instead. The first Commandment deals with our belief in God Almighty as our one and only God. It states plainly in Exodus 20:2-3, "I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me."

2nd Commandment

- HAVE I TAKEN THE HOLY NAME OF GOD IN VAIN?  HOW MANY TIMES?
- HAVE I SPOKEN DISRESPECTFULLY OF PRIEST?  OR HOLY THINGS?  HOW MANY TIMES?
- HAVE I USED OTHER BAD LANGUAGE?  HOW MANY TIMES?

This is NOT the "real" 2nd Commandment of the Christian God. For it is written in Exodus 20:4-6, "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments."

They removed it simply because it is common practice to BOW DOWN before graven images in ALL Catholic churches. This is a Babylonian ritual of Sun worship that they refuse to remove simply because this church is in fact the prophesied whore of Babylon. It simply cannot go against its own grain.

3rd Commandment

- HAVE I MISSED MASS ON SUNDAY THROUGH MY OWN FAULT?  HOW MANY TIMES?
- HAVE I MISBEHAVED IN CHURCH?  HOW MANY TIMES?
- HAVE I PAID NO ATTENTION TO MY PRAYERS?

Not only is this and ALL the following commandments in the incorrect Biblical order due to the fact the Roman Catholic church REMOVED the 2nd Commandment. And besides the fact that Daniel told us in Daniel 7:25 that the BEAST would in fact "try" to change the Law of God as well as the "times." This commandment of the Roman Catholic church is placing the Biblical 7th day Sabbath on the Un-Biblical 1st day of the Pagan day of worship for the Babylonian Sun god Mithra.

4th Commandment

- HAVE I BEEN DISOBEDIENT OR DISRESPECTFUL TO MY PARENTS OR TEACHERS?  HOW MANY TIMES?
- HAVE I TRIED TO PROVOKE THEM?  HOW MANY TIMES?

The real "5th" (they changed the order) commandment reads... Exodus 20:12, "Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee."

Do you see anything in there about TEACHERS? Why do you suppose they want you to OBEY TEACHERS? Have you been to the Catholic schools as well as public schools lately? have you seen what they teach? Understand now? 

5th Commandment

- HAVE I HAD ANY FIGHTS: OR QUARRELS?  HOW MANY TIMES?
- HAVE I MADE FUN OF ANYBODY OR CALLED THEM NAMES?  HOW MANY TIMES?
- HAVE I PICKED ON ANYONE OR TRIED TO PROVOKE THEM?  HOW MANY TIMES?

See what the Bible says in reagrds to this commandment, (Which is really #6) Exodus 20:13, "Thou shalt not kill."

Fights? Quarrels? Make fun of? Called them names? Picked on someone? Provoke someone? Do all these things now mean KILLING? Is it the Catholic church is going to try to define every disagreement on Earth as a potential death threat? Do you suppose they will seek laws that will reflect that belief? Do you suppose preaching TRUTH will now be seen as a HATE CRIME under the definition of RACISM with theology such as this? ...Already in this works... check it out here... nl000302.htm

6th Commandment

- HAVE I DONE ANYTHING DIRTY OR IMPURE?  HOW MANY TIMES?

The Commandment reads in Exodus 20:14, "Thou shalt not commit adultery." (By the way, it's really #7) The fact they totally remove the sexual aspect of this commandment illustrates how often Rome hides their sexual sins.

7th Commandment

- HAVE I STOLEN ANYTHING?
- HAVE I HARMED ANYONE'S PROPERTY?
- HAVE I CHEATED ANYONE?
- HAVE I HELPED OTHERS TO COMMIT SIN IN ANY WAY?

It really and ONLY says in, Exodus 20:15, "Thou shalt not steal." But the Roman church uses words like "harmed," "cheated" or "helped others to sin?" Is the Pope looking to BETTER the Law of God? Or expand on it? According to His Word, IT IS FINISHED.

8th Commandment

- HAVE I LIED ABOUT ANYONE?  HOW MANY TIMES?
- HAVE I TOLD OTHER LIES? TO WHOM?  HOW MANY TIMES?
- HAVE I TALKED BEHIND OTHER PEOPLE'S BACK?  HOW MANY TIMES?
- HAVE I KEPT BAD COMPANY?  HOW MANY TIMES?

It is easy to see the Roman Church can define lying rather well. However, this is actually commandment # 9. So in reality, they openly lied in their explanation of "lying."

9th Commandment

- HAVE I PURPOSELY THOUGHT OF DIRTY OR IMPURE THINGS?  HOW MANY TIMES?

Not sure what they're going for here. Is this a repeat of the "Adultery" commandment? And why do you suppose they're doing that? Is it because so many real Christians are noticing how the Catechism of Rome removed Commandment #2 and SPLIT #10 to make it become #9 & #10? Are they attempting to save face here? 

Fact is... it's too late. Prophecy was fulfilled exactly as prophesied.

10th Commandment

- HAVE I DESIRED TO HAVE FOR MYSELF WHAT BELONGS TO ANOTHER?

Close... but biblical fact is, this is not the complete 10th commandment.The real 10th commandment says in Exodus 20:17, "Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's."

Now notice the prayers suggested below for acts of repentance. Notice how Mary "the Queen of Heaven" from Jeremiah 7:18 is asked here to help the child confessing his or her sins against the Almighty. Why not ask God Himself to forgive you as Jesus taught us?

When speaking of the Pagans of old Jeremiah 7:18 says, "The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger."

Since it clearly says in Malachi 3:6 that God never "changes," they are still angering Him today. Is Mary capable of hearing these prayers? Is it acceptable Biblically to pray to her? Is she alive?

Capital Sins

- HAVE I BEEN GUILTY OF BOASTING OR BRAGGING?  HOW MANY TIMES? (Pride)
- HAVE I STUFFED MYSELF WHEN EATING?  HOW MANY TIMES? (Gluttony)
- HAVE I USED ANY DOPE OR DRUGS?  HOW MANY TIMES?
- HAVE I FAILED TO STUDY OR DO MY OTHER WORK?  HOW MANY TIMES? (Sloth)
- ARE THERE ANY OTHER SINS I MAY NEED TO CONFESS?

Prayer before Confession

O MY JESUS, FORGIVE ME MY SINS! THEY HAVE CRUCIFIED YOU AGAIN IN MY
HEART!  BECAUSE OF THEM I DESERVE TO LOSE YOU FOREVER AND TO SUFFER WITH
THE DEMONS IN THE FIRES OF HELL. BUT YOU HAVE DIED THAT I MAY LIVE AND NOT
LOSE MY SOUL. I WISH NOW TO THANK THEE WITH ALL MY HEART BY KEEPING THY
COMMANDMENTS AND TO PLEASE THEE IN ALL THAT I DO. HELP ME TO BEGIN WITH A
GOOD CONFESSION. TO THEE I CONFESS MY SINS. I RESOLVE, DEAR JESUS, TO GIVE
THEM UP. PLEASE PARDON ME BY THE HAND OF THY PRIEST!

Act of Contrition at the End of Confession

O, MY GOD, I AM HEARTILY SORRY FOR HAVING OFFENDED THEE, AND I DETEST ALL
MY SINS BECAUSE I DREAD THE LOSS OF HEAVEN AND THE PAINS OF HELL. BUT MOST
OF ALL BECAUSE THEY OFFEND THEE, MY GOD, WHO ART ALL GOOD AND DESERVING OF
ALL MY LOVE. I FIRMLY RESOLVE, WITH THE HELP OF THY GRACE, TO CONFESS MY
SINS, TO DO PENANCE, AND TO AMEND MY LIFE. AMEN.  (This prayer should be
learned by heart.)


Prayer of Thanksgiving after Confession

O MY GOD AND SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST, I THANK THEE WITH ALL MY HEART FOR
PARDONING MY SINS AND FOR WASHING MY SINFUL SOUL IN THY PRECIOUS BLOOD FROM
THE CROSS!  SO MANY TIMES I HAVE SINNED AGAINST THEE, AND SO MANY TIMES YOU
HAVE FORGIVEN ME AND GIVEN ME ANOTHER CHANCE!  O GRANT THAT I MAY NEVER
WILLFULLY BREAK ONE OF THY COMMANDMENTS AGAIN. GRANT THAT I MAY CHOOSE TO
DIE RATHER THAN LOSE THY GRACE AND FRIENDSHIP.

THANK YOU, MY DEAR MOTHER MARY. HELP ME TO BE THY VERY GOOD CHILD.

THANK YOU, MY DEAR GUARDIAN ANGEL. PLEASE GUIDE ME ON THE PATH TO PARADISE.

(Do not forget to say or do the penance given you by the priest.)

Not only are Catholics directed to make prayers to the dead. They are now directed to pray to angels? Is this Biblical?

1 John 2:1 says, "My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:"
